Choosing to enter addiction treatment can be a difficult decision to make. It requires courage and strength to face addiction head-on and commit to taking the necessary steps to overcome addiction. Addiction treatment can provide the structure and resources that are necessary to recovery in a supportive environment.
Ascensions offers both online and in-person, to help those struggling with addiction get the help they need. Our program is designed to provide individuals with the tools and resources necessary to overcome addiction and achieve long-term sobriety. Our team utilizes a variety of treatment modalities catered to the specific needs of our patients.
All treatment is court approved through Ada County Court House. We also can complete all evaluations for currently incarcerated individuals in Ada and Canyon County in person, all other counties via zoom.
Do you have Medicaid? Use your Medicaid to pay for group weekly classes. MEDICAID CANNOT BE USED TO PAY FOR THE SATUDAY DUI EDUCATION CLASS!
During the evaluation, our evaluator will call you over the phone and ask you a series of questions related to your substance history, review over any prior charges, ask what caused you to get your DUI, and some family and social history questions. Our evaluations typically take no more than 20 minutes to complete and as long as we have your BAC and/or Lab results we can have your eval back to same day.
Fee $200. Eval is completed over the phone, in person if requested.

The purpose of this evaluation is to evaluate alcohol or substance problems that may require education or treatment. These evaluations are typically for individuals who may have substance as well as domestic violence charges.
During the evaluation, our evaluator will give you a call and ask a series of questions going through the 6 Dimensions of ASAM Criteria. The evaluation takes into account the clients needs, obstacles and liabilities as well as their strengths, assets, resources, and support structure. This evaluation typically takes about 45 minutes to one hour to complete.
Fee $225. Eval is completed over the phone, in person if requested.

This evaluation is specific for clients diagnosed with liver failure/disease and needing an ASAM assessment with end goal of getting on the transplant list.
During the evaluation, our evaluator will give you a call and ask a series of questions going through the 6 Dimensions of ASAM Criteria. The evaluation takes into account the lifestyle factors, social support, psychological stability and psychopathology along with a series of questionnaires and assessments. This assessment also evaluates clients readiness level, knowledge and understanding of process of transplantation, and desire for treatment.
Fee $225. Eval is completed over the phone, in person if requested.
THIS SERVICE IS CASH PAY ONLY NOT COVERED BY ANY INSURANCE
(Global Appraisal of Individual Needs), the GAIN-I is a comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment designed to support clinical diagnosis, placement, treatment planning. A requirement for felony cases in Idaho.
During the evaluation, our evaluator will give you a call (or client can come into office) and go through a series of questions related to substance use, mental health and other areas of their life. This evaluation can take up to 1.5 hours to complete and the completed eval is sent. back same day.
NOTE: All GAIN Assessments will require a clinical assessment as well (2 separate appointments: 1 for the clinical assessment (approx. 30-45 minutes and one for the GAIN 1-2 hours)
Fee $350. Can be completed over the phone or in person.
THIS SERVICE IS CASH PAY AND COVERED BY MEDICAID INSURANCE.
The Anger Management Evaluation is an eval that can be court ordered for individuals involving disorderly conduct charges, dispute, or an altercation at work. There are also other instances where a judge would order anger management evaluation like when anger is displayed in traffic, in the workplace, if an individual displays an unhealthy behavior based on angry emotion, they may be required by the employer to complete an anger management evaluation and seek help. Our anger management evaluation seeks to establish an accurate picture of your current level of anger control skills and what services may be needed to help you overcome the challenge and satisfy the court or the employer requirements.
Fee $250. Can be completed over the phone or in person.
THIS SERVICE IS CASH PAY AND NOT COVERED BY INSURANCE.
Our 8 hour Saturday class meets the court requirements for driving under the influence, underage drinking and driving, driving while intoxicated, minor in possession, and minor in consumption education that may be required by a judge, court, or probation.

Our 16-24 hour early intervention program is designed to explore and address problems or risk factors that are related to substance use and to help clients identify harmful consequences related to substance use and connected to thinking and beliefs.

We understand that group is not always the best option and the reasons differ for everyone. For this reason, clients can attain there Level 0.5-Level 1 in SUDS individual sessions. (Sessions are 1 hour in duration). Certificate of completion is given once hours are completed.

The Cognitive Errors and Skills training program is a cognitive-behavioral intervention designed to reduce reoffending in individuals with a history of criminal behavior.
Our comprehensive curriculum covers topics such as mental and physical health, substance use, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and emotional regulation. Clients are encouraged to use their critical thinking, life, and interpersonal skills. Through open-ended questions, we aim to foster an internal commitment to change. Processing techniques are employed to engage participants, including those initially disinterested, and help clarify their values.
Throughout the curriculum, early recovery skills and relapse prevention skills are integrated to teach basic abstinence skills. Each lesson gives an overview of why each topic is important to clients’ recovery and abstinence, and discusses the topic with clients in the group. The lesson outlines’ have specific questions and suggestions to structure and enrich discussions.
